Body size differences

I am new to looking at the broncos. My buddy has a '75 that looks good, and I have a line on a '71. What is the differences in the '75 to '71 body style, size, etc?

thanks
Brian

No difference in size or shape. There are differences in the drivetrain though. Ford went from the Dana 30 front axle to the Dana 44 in 71 or 72. the 30 is much weaker than the 44. If you plan to run a V8 or tires bigger than 31's then you may want to look for a newer model or try to find a 44. Also, if you want a V8 and it has a six cylinder, it can get expensive to change later. I have built enough of these to advise you to get the best one you can now, the work will a lot less. Check the floorpans for rust, if it has a rubber mat it probably has trapped a lot of water and can hide big holes in the floor.
