Brake light

Alas back to my fellow Ford People,

My taillights went out all of a sudden, last time it was a broken wire to the switch on the pedal. This time around thought it seems they just quit working.
Doing a search of the forums i see the culprit could be the switch itself. Is this switch that is on the pedal the Brake light switch or something else? I have checked the fuse and replaced it anyways,But are still be out.
Any help would be appreciated as this is the commuter and the way things are going the Moutaineer is gonna suck my paycheck away!

You need to test for +Battery at the brake switch, one side when released, both sides when depressed.

If no power at switch look upstream, towards the battery
if power before but not after switch, bad switch
if power after switch, look downstream towards lights.

The switch that is mounted to the pedal is the brake light switch.
