Does ANYONE make a programmer for
a 2004 F250 SD with the 5.4 motor. If I understand correctly in 04 the 150 got a new version of the 5.4, one with 4 valves, while the F250 got the older 3 valve version. As such, the programmers for the F150 do not work on the F250. I have called a couple of companies only to be told they do not have a programmer for my truck. Are there any of you out there with an 04 SD with the 5.4 that have used a programmer? If so, where did you get it, and how do you like it? Thanks in advance.

The 04 SD 5.4 is a 2 valve engine. The F150 has the 3 valve engine. You can use a Superchip 1714 (that is the one I have) or the newer version 1815. I like the change in the way it shifts, and it removes the rev limiter. I must admit, I dont see a lot of change in performance (even with my K&N and exhaust mods). I bought mine on ebay for $100 so I am content.

The SCT SF 9415B is what I've got and it will work for your 04' as well. Its a good tuner and I'm happy with mine. If memory serves me right the 3V 5.4l were put in the SDs starting in 05' as were the 3V 6.8l.
