Need help

After shifting from 1st on/off light on overdrive flashes and transmission does not shift smooth. There is a jerk between 1st and second. what does the flashing O/D off light mean??

The tranny is running in "Safe" mode and codes are stored that need to be read that will point to the problem. Could be something as simple as the VSS in the rear diff.
