Engine question...

Guys I just completed my 302 upgrades which included Explorer GT40 intake setup, 94 Cobra GT40 heads and a 302HO cam. My question is this my throttle cable seems to fit the lightning throttle body fine, but was wondering if the lightning throttle cable is shorter than the 92-96 F-150 302 motors require? I keep feeling the throttle bind. Another thing should the lightning throttle body I am using the TPS should be fine to use on our trucks right? Last thing, my idle is about 1000RPMS when the truck is dropped into drive and it will pretty much move on its own, what do I have to do to adjust the idle speed?

The throttle cable is probably shorter since the Lightning TB is on the driverside and the standard Intake has it on the front of the passenger side. What voltage is the TPS sensor putting out at an idle? It should be about .9v. If 1.0 or more, it will idle too fast.

The Tps sensor is showing right out around .98, perfect so it should be fine, my question is this though I have the throttle screw all the way out and the IAC disconnected and nothing is happening... I figured unplugging IAC would make the motor fall on it's face?

.98 is closer to 1.0 than .9 is. You can also try retarding the timing if all else fails.
