Will the coeds tell me if my fuel pump is bad on my 94 explorer or how do I know for sure otherwise

NOt necessarily. When you turn the key to the ON position, you should hear the fuel pump prime for a second or 2. If you don't hear it, then you have a fuel delivery problem. Start by checking the fuel pump relay. Replacing the fuel pump is the very last thing you want to do.

tried all that

Yeah I have been posting on this Forum since december all about the same fuel pump issue. I picked up alot of knowledge but the damn fuel pump was just replaced two years ago. I used a volt meter and have power at the pump for about two seconds after turning the key to the on possition. Guess that means that everything ahead of the pump in the circuit must be good. I can't believe I have to change this thing out again already.

An electric circuit goes from the battery + post (B+) all the way to the negative battery post (B-). You might verify that the ground side of the circuit is intact before replacing the fuel pump.

Connect a fuel pressure guage to the scrader valve on the intake manifold, take the guessing out of the equation. Should see 32-35psi when running.
