comming back

Guys and Gals, I am seriously thinking about coming back to Ford after about 5 years of owning GM. I am interested in going all out and jumping into an EX 4x4 diesel form '01 to '03 model. How reliable and problem free are the diesel 4x4's. Never owned a diesel before. Whats better 7.3l or 6.0l(opinions or tech)? What is considered high mileage for either engine? What should I consider before buying?

The 6.0 from 03 to 04 are problematic. late 04 to 05 are when they started to fix the problems. The 7.3l is extremly reliable and bearly has any problems.
