Problem

Ok so instead of cutting down my frame in my 89, I found a shortbox frame for really cheap down here. Only problem is, I dont ahve my trailer down here to go get it! So I have a shortbox truck, with approx 6 feet, 2 extra feet of length with the tailgate down, and Im not quite sure how I would get the frame strapped in there so it wouldnt come loose. The frame itself is approx 5 feet wide, and 16 or so feet long.

Any ideas?

Only bad thing is, I dont have a roof rack, and only have access here to make a wood one, dont know if that would hold up the whole way!

Put a axle on the frame and make a hitch. I used to sandblast frames that were towed in like that.

Use a sawzal/zip cut and very carefully/accurately cut the frame in half so it can easily be welded back up.
May not be the best way but one that may work....

Cutting the frame might have to work. Ryan thats an excellent idea, but I dont have a spare rear end kicking around to throw into it, otherwise I would do that. And sherm, I dont think the frame would sit quite like that box did lol.
