I haven't heard of stock keyless entry on the F150s before 97.

However it only goes back to 96, the instructions should the same or similar
Replacing lost transmitters
In the event a transmitter is lost, you should
take all your vehicle’s transmitters to your
dealer to have the remote entry system
deprogrammed for the lost transmitter. This is
necessary to prevent further unauthorized use of
the lost transmitter.
You can also purchase additional transmitters
(up to 4 transmitters can be used) from your
dealer. You will need to take all your
transmitters to the dealer so they can program
them to the remote entry system all at the same
time.

Keyless entry WAS offered on 95s. I don't know about any years prior, but I have the original F150 pamphlet for my truck (95) and it shows keyless entry as being an option. My truck didn't have it from the factory so I installed a Bulldog Securities remote starter + keyless entry. I love it!

I found the answer at this website. It is Tech Service Bulletin (TSB) 97-24-13 located at:
http://www.ford-trucks.com/tsb/fullt...p?tsb=97-24-13 . It covers RKE reprogramming and diagnostics on all Fords from 1992-1998. Ford Trucks had the RKE feature beginning in 1994.

After I made the post then I tried the link and it didn't work for me either, yet this is the link that printed out when I printed the instructions. What I discovered you have to do is go to the very top of this page and click the Recalls/TSB button on the tool bar. There will be a drop down menu and you click on the Full-Text TSB. Then plug "97-24-13" into the View by TSB number box

I have learned how to program a keyless entry fob for my 1996 F350 diesel and want to share my findings.
1, locate the control module under the dash. mine was located just under the dash kinda between the accelorator pedal and trans hump in front of the door chime module (if your chime is hooked up, follow the sound).
2, There is a 2 pin grey conector taped on to the wiring harness for the controle module.
3, Make sure key is off (door does not have to be closed)(it also helps to have all the fobs laying on the floor) Jump the two pins. turn ignition key to the on/run position. Locks will cycle. press lock or unlock button (does not matter which), locks will cycle for each fob.
4, After all fobs have been cycled, turn ignition off. Locks will cycle one last time. Unhook jumper. Enjoy.
Now my wifes '97 mountianeer and my '96 dually use the same remotes.
