I had my trans cooler behind the bumper there. my best 1/4 is 10.33 , at 130.23mph. I am hoping to crack into the 9's then back it off and stay consistent low 10's.

That is a nice truck is it a short bed? Did they have that flareside in a Long bed?

Yes shortbed flareside. I don't think they made a flareside long bed.

Basically the idea behind the Nite is to paint everything black. Bumpers, headlight trim, grill all color matched to the body.

I think I will have to come up with a new name. I plan on painting mine Red.

383 thats just plain awsome!! im just hopin to get my 71 down into the low 12's this year.i cant imagine 10's. Old Rebel theres a nite down the road thats long bed i think they come both ways

Yeah I seen the longbeds they are the styleside or the regular bed.

Thanks for the help. I got the 81 Explorer I thought it was a 80,I gave it to my youngest son to fix it.I got a 97 F150 Lariat.

lol if you can get a 1980 f100 that was made in 79 it would definatly be one of a kind. they came with alot of different crossover parts from other years and sometimes working on them can be a little confusing

My truck was built in December of 1979, and the only thing that crosses over is the engine design and the bolt pattern.. Nothing on my truck confuses me at all, and barely any of it has anything to do with a 73-79 Dentside.
