Red face Back Up Sensor

Does Anyone Have Any Info Regarding The Proper Wiring For The Back Up Sensors, I Purchased It But Did Not Want The High Cost Of The Dealership To Have It Installed, The Directions Are Pretty Vage And Was Just Wondering If Any One Knew How And Where To Wire The Two Lead. I Just Need To Know Where Is The Best Place And How To Locate The Reverse Wire And Back Up Light Wires. Any Info Would Be Much Appreciated ...thanks.

Welcome to FTE, deerefarmer!

Your Ford dealer can probably add them... it would require cutting holes in the bumper, mounting them, and wiring them up, whatever that entails.

I believe the Aftermarket has some reverse sensor options, too... I know they have reverse cameras that are pretty neat.

Hopefully some folks can chime in on the best way to add them, and also on wiring issues.

Yes You Can, I Paid $44.98 Shipping And All Included, It Came With Everthing And Then Some, Very Good Quality Parts. I Have No Problem Drilling Into The Chrome Bumper I Have On Mine, I Did It For My Block Heater So It Would Look Clean, I Bought A Three Plug Ground Socket For Charging Boat Batteries From Bass Pro Shop And It Came With Attached Cover And Seals And Looks Very Flush And Nice. Any How I Just Wanted To Know What Wires I Am Looking For And Where Is The Best Place To Find It And Wire It At. Everything is pretty basic plug and sockets all numbered so you cant go wrong there. But it calls for two wires one red + and one black - the black goes to the reverse light wire and the red to the gearshift box???? If You Need Any More Info On The Back Up Sensor And The Vendor I Got It From Please Ask. Good Luck, I Posted Something In The Electrical Dept Of The This Forum As Well. I Will Keep You Posted If I Hear Anything.....

I'mm gonna add one of these soon. You can add two more cameras(great for the 5er). We use similar ones on our ambulances and some fire trucks, and they're awesome!
