Dash Digging

I need to dig the amplifier out of the dash of my '98 Expy to have a local shop test it. What is the best way to access this? I have the radio out and can see what I believe is the amp. I don't want to remove more than is necessary.

Thanks,

Tim

Which amp were you looking for?
The one for the Sub (IIRC) is on the pssnger side Rear-in front of the wheel well; just in front of the Sub.

The one for the dr speakers should be directly behind the radio (where you're digg'n now) The hardware to remove- should be visible w/only the radio and trim removed. (IIRC)

Dash diggin'

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, it is the amp in the dash that I need to get out. It looks like I will need to remove the heater/AC unit and bracket but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't get all of that torn out only to find out that it has to be taken out from another direction. Also, it looks like more of the dash will need to be removed besides just the radio trim piece. Does this seem right?

Thanks again!

The "front" is the only way I know of. Thou... I do recall moving the mechanical controls off to gain more access. But I don't remember removing Too much more than that (radio, trim, controls)
