Explorer Help please

When I turn my rear-defrost on, my door ajar message comes up in my message center, when I turn off my rear-defrost the message goes away. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Welcome to the forum Kurt.

Check the grounds on the rear hatch, seems the defrost circuit is being made through the door ajar switch circuit.

Do I need to remove anything to get the grounds?
