If you remove the clear coat you'll be polishing your wheels almost constantly.

Zoops make a product called Zoopseal. It is used to seal your billet stuff (think hot rods) after you polish them. Kind of like putting wax on your paint job. Anyway, this stuff is supposed to last 6 months or so, on your wheels I would cut that in half.

Thanks Reford if I understand you correctly I could remove the clear coat and polish and then use the zoopsealer and wouldn't clear coat.

The wheels are clear coated to make cleaning easier. I remember having to polish the mags on my car back a few years. I don't want to have to go through that again.

Thought of that after I posted if I go through the trouble of stripping and sanding I may as well clear coat them. thanks for the help.
