New Member - Springs native

Just joined a few days ago. Born, raised, and still live on the Springs. Just traded my 89 f-150 for a 2000 F-150 Lariat.

Born and raised in Denver around 6th Ave and Monaco PKWY. I remember many of the places other members have mentioned - I could tell you some stories about County Line Rd and Smokey Hill Rd too.

I've been an FTE member for about 10 mo and I'm new to this chapter. I currently live in Phoenix and hope to move home soon.

Welcome aboard Cactus Magnet. I think I share your moniker as being a cactus magnet. On Columbus Day I was in Canon City, went up north into Red Canyon, while walking the dog I brushed up against one of those tall, thin, furry little cacti, brought home about 40 of the little suckers in my leg. Didn't know it until I got back here and went to scratch my leg.......

I think we are about the only southern Colorado members on this forum. I live in Pueblo West. If you have been to the State Fair in the past ten years or so, we might have met. I have the Mountain Man Nut & Fruit booth in the Ag Palace. Anyway, again, welcome to FE and the Colorado forum. The bunch on here, both FTE and CO. forum are a great bunch, always willing to lend a hand or opinion, generally both.

That's pretty cool, I had no idea so many of you were natives. Unfortunately I am not in that club. I didn't have control over where I was born but I do have control over where I live.

RIKEL, we're not all natives in this thread. That was my original idea with this thread, but it has become more a gathering place, which works very well.

Did you get a lot of snow in Beulah? We got a couple of inches down here, nothing that made life or driving difficult. I was up at the Pueblo Mountain Park last month for our annual Southern Colorado Mustang Club picnic. Seems to be an underused asset.

Native! I was technically born in Fort Collins, but claim a little village called Weldona as my hometown. my current home is a little plywood shack in a desert valley, however I am aiming to move to the northern front range sometime in 2012.

Born and raised in Northglenn. Went to Northeast Jr., Northglenn Sr. High schools. I still live in Northglenn and have been there for 48 years. Hoping to retire to the Grand Junction area in about 10 years. Work as a supervisor in a Lafayette hospital and I am restoring a 64' F250 high boy. Life is good!

Welcome Shrek, you and I definitely chewed some of the same ground, I was born at Vally View Hospital in Thornton, and lived in Westminster. I went to Ranum. I am currently in Broomfield, and have similar hopes to retire to Grand Junction some day.
