Keyless Programming Connector

I just bought a 96 Bronco EB. I am trying to program a transmitter I bought from eBay, but cannot find the programming connector. It should be by the base of the steering wheel column...

I guess there are two options:

1. The 96 Bronco Eddie Bauer I bought did not have the keyless entry option. (Is this standard in the Eddie Bauer?) :-(
2. Or, I am not looking in the right place.

What does the programming connector look like?
Is it by the pedals or right next to the fuses?
Do I have to remove the two torx screws and panel to see it?

Help!

Keyless Programming Connector

I just did this last night, bought a new remote from the ford dealer.
The connector is at the base of the steering column, under the dash.
Its a gray plug, its not connected to anything. Its just hanging down, or
least mine was. The open end has to prongs sticking out. It looks like it
needs to be plugged into something. first turn the ignition to run. just use a
peace of wire and connect the two prongs together (just for a second)
and the door locks will cycle. then press one of the lock or unlock button
(release the button) and turn the ignition off. and then check the remote to
see if it worked.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-16-03 AT 05:23 PM (EST)]Red=Back side of cubby hole
Blue=Keyless entry unit
Green=Programming connector

Broncos came with 2 types of keyless entry units the stock one from ford and some other one from another company (avital i think). make sure you have the unit in the blue circle, that’s the stock unit from ford and will work with the remote you have

P.s. all the wire nuts and the relay to the right is a custom mod to get the keyless entry to work with the remote starter.

Looks like my 96 Bronco Eddie Bauer does not have the keyless entry option...

Or at least doesn't have the one in your picture...

Thanks to both for the replies.
