Hey Jim, Whidbey Isle is a fine place to retire, eh? Had 27 years in and was lucky enough to get here for a final tour. There is a little more rain than I remembered though...
I was born in Forks and raised in Sedro Woolley. We have been having very mild winters for 8-10 years and we just got back to somewhat normal in our weather patterns by my recollection. This year was somewhat "normal". My father can recollect the Skagit freezing over every year and my great uncle was the first to take his horse drawn milk wagon up and down the river collecting the white stuff on his route. Course, that was when we still had tall timber up and down the valley, which tends to bring down the temp a bit over the winter. Rain? Heck, I was born with moss 'tween my toes! Jim
