e4od Speed contol censor
If any body could please tell me the location of the speed control censor on 92 F150 4x4 with a e40d The Truck Shifts hard and the speeddometer ond odometer dont work. I am shur it is the speed control censor but i cant find it to find out. Thank YOU !!!!

Not sure where it's at BUT these tranniew are knowned for shifting hard
If you's just kind of sure that's what it is you can allways pull codes and it will tell ya for sure
another thing if you go to a good auto store they can tell ya where it's at

The shifts of the transmission are made by the speed sensors signals to the PCM and as stated above the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is located on the top of the rear differential housing. From the speedometter and oddometer not working I would say that you most likely have a bad VSS.

Speed sensor is located on the center/top of the rearend on '92-'96 trucks. There is also a fuse located in the interior fuse panel that can be associated with the instruments. The speed sensor in the rearend is known for getting metal built up inside the sensor. You can lean it off or install a new one if you prefer. Just my 2 cents.
