I wouldn't waste my time if I was you. Ford's autolamp isn't sensitive enough and there is no way to adjust it. It will have you driving around in the dark if you wait for it to turn on the lights! I seen some threads where people partially block the sensor to get it to work better. For me its just easier to turn the headlight switch on.
I want fo install one on my F250. On my Chevy S-10 I could adjust the sensitivity with a black sharpie. Just color over the sensor, it may take several coats to get the right timing.
It is a do it yourself deal with the direct replacement of your current headlight switch assembly. I am guessing the switch would be under $150 with it taking less then 30mins to install.
Scratch that price..I found this while lookin around... Ford Parts Direct
Mucho cheaper then I thought.

Really I don't think it's worth a darn. I have it and never use it. It's not that the sensitivity sucks (which it does), but that when it's raining, you still need to turn them on yourself anyway, so I just control them myself all the time. Also, I'm a nice person, since my daily driver is a lowered ZX2, and I turn off the headlights (leave fogs on) when I'm at a light behind a small car. Just because I know how much it sucks to be the one in the car!
LOL! I turn mine off when I'm sitting in drive-thru's waiting for food...
Thanks for the thoughts and help guys, I still may look into the switch... That is way less than I thought it would be. That is unless one of you that never uses them wants to give me your switch!
