Ive got a 4 X4 98 5.4L F150 w/6" lift, 35" BFG's, Gibson Sideswept exhaust, K&N set up and a set of JBA's and am considering a programmer to tighten my shift points plus other options. I have looked thru tons of threads but I am unable to find a vehicle like mine, the year and motor etc. with a programmer and info.
I have looked into superchips and edge and it seems that they both offer a tuner for my truck but am unsure which would be the best ? I was also looking to input my tire and gear ratio size but neither seem to be able to do it ? From what I can tell it is due to my year not having a digital spedometer etc. What ideas are out there? Looking for any input! Thanks!!!
They are a company out of Sanford, FL. They make a rather slick program for writing custom tunes. They are promissing to release a dataloging suite to help you tweak your tunes. For now the special forces is just the downloader and tuning software.
Thier website should be snipertuning.com It's a very cool program.
Thanks ReAX! I just found the site and emailed them to find out their hours of operation etc. so that I find out about their product. I am curious to find out if it is difficult to work with. I don't want to kill my truck, just fine tune it. do you have any other Ideas?
If you do decide to order a tuner...any tuner, i would highly recommend Strippermotorsports.com (866-706-7744) and the service was excellent! Including shipping the price on the superchip flashpack was $365. They also carry other brands and were very helpful on the phone responding to questions, etc. which was much more than the other retailers were even willing to do!
