help

my husband is installing motor/tranny 302 & a.o.d into his 53 pickup and has no clue to the wiring color codes for tranny to hook them up...anyone tell me where these wires are supposed to go?any help would be greatly appreciated as we are dumbys...hehehehe

Good question - Does he know what the year of the tranny is, cause mines an 86....One of the gurus here might be able to give all the details needed....If it is my year I can help him out really quick...

the wires coming out of an AOD are the neutral lockout and reverse lights. If I remember right, the male connectors on the transmission plug are where the power comes in. The females would go to the starter solenoid or the reverse lights.

this tranny is out of a 1981 mercury wagon and is aut. od am putting it into a 1953 ford need to know how to wire it...thanks
