Dash lights?

Dash lights?
I recently bought a 1992 F150 Nite... Last night I discovered that my dash lights aren't working... but, when I turn the *** to turn on my dome light, the dash lights come on... I thinking my switch is bad... any thoughts?

Umn, duh, I know that... picked up a new one and will install tomarrow to see if that will fix the problem...
Maybe I wasn't clear enough... there are no lights at all untill you turn the *** all the way to the point that the dome light comes on... basicly the dash lights only work with the dome light on.
