Winter Project

Im going to be rebuilding a motor and trans for my 71.And putting a drop I beam under it too and lowering the rear. But what motor should I put in it.
A 390 (that is in it know)
B 460
C Go with a small block like a 302 or 351

Which one do you all think?Wont have the money until the end of the year or the beginning of next year. Then get started on it.

I would guess the engine depends on a number of factors, like gas mileage and such but I am partial to 351W and 460 Heck if gas doesn't matter fo Big.

I vote for a 460
