Boy I think I am so totally screwed. Everything was going ok.
Till I tried to pull the pump out.
Was wiggling and pulling and the pump snapped off the base and the pushrod in the block.
Now what?

If the tappet fell into the block you need to make sure it made it all the way into the oil pan, most likely it did. Drain the oil, use a magnet to drag it to the drain hole to verify it's in there.

Boy did I dodge a bullet. I went out later and looked at it was cleaning valley a little.
I saw the O ring that was hanging it up so I cut it out with a razorblade.
The broken tappet and pump body lifted out with a pair of needlenose pliers.
oh boy that was nervewracking.

Now any tricks to getting those short hoses on?

Well Ive got the pump in and the hoses and banjo bolt in.

Everything is loose right now just need to tighten everything up tommorrow and see if it runs.

Only dropped the pump side banjo bolt gasket 3 or 4 times.

Needlenose pliers definitely help for the gasket.

Stuffed the socket with a rag and put tape around the head of the banjo bolt that helped keep it from falling out of the socket.

There is fuel now in the filter housing.

There is some smoke from the exhaust.
Light not sure if its white or grey/?
Right now the batteries are puked theyre on the charger.
How long should it take for it to start?
Gonna try again in a little bit.

Ant ideas?

Could it be the glowplugs?
I did the ohm check on 6 of them got 2 at 2ohms, 2 at 5ohms, and a 6ohm and 7ohm
Is this bad?

I figured I was gonna try the heater plugged in overnight tonight.
If it starts try it the next day with no heater.
Then if it doesnt start point to the glowpugs.
GPR is onlt 2 years old it seems to functioning correctly.
Do those ohm readings sound bad for the plugs?

Well the heater did the trick to get it started.

I left it on all night.

Went out this afternoon and it started up pretty quick.

But

It has no power

I let it warm up for a little while then drove it up and down my driveway for at least 15mins.

My drive is about 1/8 mile. I was only able to get it up to about 20mph.

Should have been able to get to 40mph or so at least.

Is this long enough to get any air out off it?

I have been told by the dealer that I have a bad #8 injector.

If it totally died could this be problem?

Ive also had problems in the past with the Injector driver module.

It kinda feels the way it did when those died but it didnt start acting up the same way.

Can a bad injector drag the IDM down too?

Well still dont know whats wrong.
Im thinking aboutchanging the oil.
I read somewhere that that could hurt the injectors.
It is due about now.

When you said that the filter housing wasn't full, did you mean there was no fuel in it or it wasn't full to the top? The filter displaces a lot of fuel in the housing, so it won't be full when you remove the filter.

What brand of fuel filter did you put in it?

I don't think you ever said if it is making white smoke or not when you try to start it.

It actually started I used the block heater and it fired up.
The problem now is the truck has no power.
I changed the oil and no improvement.
I can barely get to 20 mph.
It wont even pull itself up a 1 inch curb.

I'm guessing it might be the Injector driver module but I dont know how to check it.
Im gonna pull it out tommorrow or Sat and see if I see anything bad inside it.

are you running on only 4 cylinders? sounds like it to me. if you got bad wiring to an injector the whole bank will shut down.
