problems
i have a 2004 f-250 with a 6.0 diesel. after running the truck for awhile and it gets hot when i slow down and try to stop the truck just kills. i've been to a few shops and they hook it up to the computer they can't find anything. any help please

is it hot when you get it to the shop to be checked and is it trying to stall? have you checked fuel delivery? if it is low on fuel pressure it may cause the engine to heat do to inceficent fuel cooling the cylinders. when pickup pump gets hot it could be loosing fuel pressure. I am not sure what the recommended fuel pressure of the 6.0 is. most diesels use the oil in the fuel to help cool the chambers. I am not up on the 6.0 diesels as much as i would like, so if this helps let me know.

yes it's hot when i get to the shop. they checked the fuel pressure and it's all good when the truck dies it still holds the pressure.and it just puzzles everyone any help would be good fromm anyone thanks
