Will my SuperChips tuner for my '02 PSD with 7.3, read the codes on my son's '97 F-150 gas burner? He lives 30 miles away and I don't want to drive there for nothing.
Thanks for ya'lls help, Joe
I doubt it, I believe the tuner will check for vin and calibration code before it gives you the option of tune or DTC. I could be wrong, call superchips, they are in central florida and probibly closed for the day.
Actually, yes it will - you're not talking about the newer Flashpaq-style unit, what you have for that 7.3 PSD is the traditional Superchips Micro Tuner, and yes, it will read OBD-II DTC's on virtually any OBD-II non-CAN FoMoCo vehicle - so that would include, for example, the 1996-2003 F-150's.
