94 explorer mapsensor location

i cant find the location of the map sensor on my 1994 explorer 4.0L the mechanic told me on the firewall but still couldnt find it.

Are you certain a '94 4.0 has a MAP/BAP sensor? I know my '92 4.0 doesn't have one, though I'm pretty sure that '91s do. When present, I think it usually is on the firewall, but I think the first thing to do would be to determine for sure if a '94 has a MAP/BAP.

94's don't use one. Ford figured out that the MAF and O2's was all needed to dial in the mixture right. funny too, a lot of mechanics don't know this.
