John if my memory serves me right, there are some plastic inserts affixed to the regulator arms. These inserts fit in the track to which the window glass is attached. The plastic inserts are affixed to the regulator arm by way of a ball and socket type deal, meaning the insert has a socket in it and the arm has a stud with a ball. The socket wears out in the insert allowing, the ball on the stud to pull out. The new inserts were still available from Ford last year, but I dont know about now.

Thats it . I wasnt aware the you could get them anywhere other than Ford. Thanks for the info. And yes they are a PITA to put in. The factory ones are braded to the regulator arms, and have to be ground off.
