Here in the valley the politicans told us that all the state money went to repair the earthquake damage in both LA and San Fran. Now that those highways are repaired they have started to redo 99, making it 3 lanes wide each direction from Sacromento to LA.

We want our share of the tax money spent on our roads - and LA and the Bay Area can wait their turn - they already took most of the money for several years!

WillyB, you actually believe polticians?
Hardly anything was fixed up here from the '89 quake.
Someone is pocketing the money.

olfordsnstone, I know what you mean by big potholes.
I hit a 40 mile stretch of potholes like that when I took my roadtrip to Alaska.
There and back on the Al-Can highway is like putting 100,000 miles on your suspension.

Didn't they do something with the elavated freeway that fell down? I also thought you were getting a new bay bridge - am I mistaken?

They knocked down the elevated section of the Cypress Freeway.

That new cantilever section of the Bay Bridge is so far over budget, It's starting to resemble the Big Dig in Boston.

I'm sure some politician and higher ups in the Cal-Trans orginization are very happy, and very rich.

Yes, it would be nice to equally pass around that money, but you and I know it won't happen. Just look around.
