rear window problem

hello everyone, ive searched the forums for an answer but i can seem to find what im looking for.
my wife just got home with the bronco a 1990 EB, and the had the back window rolled down, when she went to roll it back up it would only go half way up, well she went ahead and lowered it again and it wont come back up now, ive got the access panel removed from the tailgate and i can see everything from there, but i can get to anything cause the glass is blocking it all, theres a pretty big storm coming now :/ and all i want is my back window up, i dont care if it works right now or not, anyone know how to get it rolled back up for the time being, then later i can fix the power problem. Thanks in advance.

by the way ive tried pushing the window up while she was pushing the up button, also the keyhole switch wont work either.

Sometimes that happens if the rear gate is not fully closed. Make sure it is.

If and only if, the motor is in working condition this will work:
Tools/Supplies needed.
1. Small battery (tractor, motorcycle, etc...)
2. Two 2 ft long wires
3. Screw Driver

Process:
1. Make sure gate is fully closed.
2. With the screw driver, remove the Rear Window Connector (located driver side rear bumper area). It should be a long white or gray tubelike connector.
3. Splice and connect each wire to the battery terminals (One on positive, the other on negative).
4. Using the wires for power, make contact on the connector pins.
5. Window should rise or go down.

Option two:
Back up another Bronco and connect Bronco 1 Connector to Bronco 2 connector and use Bronco 1's switch/key.

Put pressure on the driver's side as the window is going up. What is probably happening is that the switch that tells the gate that it is "closed" is a little whacky. As the windows goes up, it puts pressure on the gate and forces it outward. If the switch contact are just barely closed, the pressure might be enough to cause it to open, thus cutting the power to the motor. When you get it raised, take the access panel off and lube up the mechanism with some spray on white lithium grease and you will notice much smoother operation afterwards too. Hope this helps.

Ditto to tom2131968 and be sure to spray the ( I don't remember the names) tracks attached to the bottom of the glass that the ends of the arms roll/slide in. Another possibility, the rubber covered torsion bar may be against the glass when down and that's a whole different story.
