normal steering?
I got a '96 EB back in march and love it except for the steering is very touchy and loose or sloppy. I'm not sure if thats the norm or not but, its had an alignment, new tires, and new ball joints.

What about rod ends? Checked them lately? Jack one front wheel at a time up and try to shift the tire left-to-right as it would when the steering swings it. If you note any shift or "slop" the rod ends are suspect. The TTB (Twin Traction Beam) front axle assembly has several other pivot points and bushings that COULD be the root of the problem. The rod ends would be the first to check though. Axle pivot bushings and radius arm bushings are also items that can wear on these trucks. Check the red link in my signature for more info.
