Would this work?

Would this work on an '04? I know it says '02, but they both have torsion bar systems. If it doesn't work, why not?

They probably changed something between those years. If they say it won't work it won't work. Not without major work anyways.

Dave your wanting to mod that truck so bad you can taste it, sure the wife will go for a lift kit? Just tell it needs a complete brake job, and ranger brake parts are expensive, she never know the difference hee hee. Your best bet would be to contact rcd and ask them. I found another lift kit that does cover our year ranger( 04 ). It's by superlift, it's a 3" to 4" kit, I saw it on thier web site, but they weren't giving prices on the site, but thier site will help you find a local distributer in your area for priceing. From past experience, superlift is gonna be cheaper than rcd, or Dixon Bros, but thier kits are of the highest quality. They also recomend thier replacement front drive shaft. They say the stock saft will start to vibrate after about 20,000 miles with a 4" lift. Thiers is stronger, balanced, with super strong cv joints, but they leave it up to the buyer as it is sold seperate from the lift kit. I'll look up thier site and post it for you.

Hey thanks Wendell! We'll see how it goes. I was considering a torsion bar crank, but I decided against it because I would rather not mess with replacing them if they break. Sometimes I can run it pretty hard.

I respect that, I run the dog water out of mine, and haven't broke a t-bar, but still might, who knows? I may eventually get a lift, I have spent so much money on the engine mods, tires, and such, the wife is starting to give me the evil eye, so I gotta chill for awhile, and let her get some things. I'm concidering a roll bar with a set of kc day lighters, there sorta out of style, but I still like them. I know you like to wheel, so the best things you can do for your truck, is a locker, or lsd in the rear, and a good set of offroad tires, I run BFG all terain ko's, but it's what ever you like. Some skidplates to protect that belly, and have some fun with it, engine mods and stuff can be done anytime. With a locker, tires, and skidplates, you'll be ready for some serious wheeling. A winch might not be a bad idea if you like getting into some crazy stuff.
