I want to keep my dash stock but i'd like to add an extra super accurate speedo as well as me stock one which works but i don't know how accurate it is. Could i put a digital one on without having to unhook my stock one. Has anyone done this? let me know or post here.

Get a GPS satelite reciever. You can get a decent one for under $100 now and typically are quite accurate for checking speed. It will have many other usefull functions to play with also, and you don't have anything to hook up to your truck unless you want a cigarette adapter or auxillery antenna.

Hey great idea about the GPS... I have one and have never thought about using it to check my speedo

I've used one for several years. I bought a cell phone holder with a suction cup on it and put the GPS unit in it. Mount it where you can see it at all times. Works great.
