tailgate hinge question
1993 F-150. I need to replace the bushing that fits into the bottom right hinge on my tailgate.The kit I bought from ford had the rubber bushing and a smaller ''clip''. Can anyone tell me how or where this small clip goes in this application?Thanks.

I don't know either, but when I changed mine a couple of years ago I don't think I even used the clip. Don't remember putting it in anywhere anyway. I think I just put the bushing in the cup in the end of the tailgate and called it good. It seems to work fine.

I just replaced mine yesterday. I went to ford and bought one. $7.60. It was the right side. I just dropped the tailgate, lifted it out on the right side, and just snapped it in place. Then put the tail gate back on.
