Cab mount replacement

Well, I was cleaning out my 1970 F250 Highboy this weekend, and I pulled up the floormat up and the cancer was worse that I thought. It looks like I going to have to replace the cab mounts. Sooo Question, I've seen replacement mounts sell from $30 to $80, Is there a big difference in the quality or fit or gauge of steel? I know the el cheapo ones are probaly made in Taiwan, but are there any Quality American ones that are inexpensive?
I only want to do this repair once and want it done right. I have spot weld drill bits and access to a wire feed, but it's still a major undertaking.

Cab mount replacement

I bought some floor panels. The steel they used is much thinner than that of the original. After welding them in though I really cant tell any difference.

Cab mount replacement

I put one of the Taiwan ones in my '70 f-250 4x4 I actually used 6 bolts to mount it, as I didnt have a welder at the time. It was actually a very easy job, taking about an hour. I removed the old one with an air chistle. It cracked after about a year of use (During a 50 mile trip across lake huron in the winter) so i took it off and welded it up and added some reinforcement on the inside. Bolted it back on and its been good since then.
If i was doing it again i would use the thin one and beef it up before installing it. That shouldnt be a problem if youhave a welder anyway.
