I meant TDS, but I didn't mention it because some forums are sensitive to having the other forum sites mentioned...

Actually it has been worked out since basically the inception of the engine. Are you aware that the regulated return fuel system emulates an International fuel system that Ford chose not to use?
I am aware of that, do you know why Ford doesn't use the regulated return style system in our trucks?

You mean like Bob Riley's CPR systems or ITP's regulated return system? How about Diesel Innovations regulated return system, were many of us buy parts for our own version? Yeah, I think most of us are aware of those sites. But where's the fun if all the parts come in the same box with instructions? May as well just take it down to the local speed shop and let someone else put it on.
Guess that depends on your idea of fun. I prefer to get the mod(s) done in the easiest fashion possible so I can drive my truck and enjoy it. Just a different philosophy.

Plus, I liked the idea of doing it myself. I'm a big DIY type of guy, and actually preferred to design and assemble the system myself.
I've looked at all of the currently available "kits" and talked to a lot of people. 6AN hose isn't necessary, I know of at least one 600hp Ford running 4AN regulated return fuel lines. Nothing wrong with running bigger, but its certainly not a criteria when selecting a kit or parts...

You're spot on there. A returnless fuel system on a gasser generates a lot less HC vapor.
However I fail to see the connection to a diesel. Diesel doesn't evaporate like gasoline does. I think the engineering dept. is designing without really thinking.

On that you and I agree TOTALLY! I'm sure $$ probably plays a factor too.

My 2001 had an ITP kit (was called JNB when I got it several years ago). ITP is local to me and I've been talking to them about fuel system mods for my 6.0L too. Those are on the drawing board, but it sounds like they will be a while.

Thanks, I will have a look at it.

Where can it be found?

Well, that's under the assumption that my target is only up to 600 hp!! (Please sense the sarcasm there if you didn't already. )

DPP is working on a kit for the PSD's that will eliminate the factory LP....where it goes from there......

The Cummins (HPCR) market is needing high pressure and flow for the modded CP3 High pressure pumps. So now they have FASS pumps that can produce 80+ psi all day long with out burning up....this might be a good combo with the regulated fuel return........

By LP, do you mean lift pump? A stock PSD doesn't have a lift pump, just the one high pressure fuel pump.

Yeah, too bad Ford didn't put the 5.9 in thier trucks. That would be an ideal combo.
