Lowering ?

I installed 2" drop shackles last weekend and today was the 1st time driving it in the rain and to say the least traction is less than desirable.

A little gas provokes the rear tires to break loose. I know I have winter tires on still but it was never like this before. Accelerating in normal traffic is easy to break them loose.

Anybody else have this problem, or was this to be expected when lowering due to less downward tension or something of this sort?

The height of the rear end should make no difference in the amount of weight it carries front to back. Side to side it is a little different, but front to back should remain relatively the same. Rain and snow tires....makes a pretty easy combo to break loose. Did you do anything else as the same time? Did you install a pinion shim? If not, the pinion is now a little nose down, this will usually give you a little better traction, not worse.

Strange....

Well, it's a Ford, so it's nature is to sit up high. A Chevy probably would have taken the stunting a little better. I'm just flippin you some crap, I have no idea.
