Hey guys, im new here from Belgiun so please pardon my writing.
I have a question regarding a lambda probe. I fitted one in my 73 Ranchero for estimating my Air fuel mixture. I get some figurs true a millivolt display ranging from max (2volt) troux 0012 volts. I think if the voltage is high its lean (meaning it has alot of unburnd air left), and low its rich.
Please tell me im wrong.
Im runnin sollely on lpg with a 351 Cleveland with Impco equipment.
tis is great, after a week surfing i found an artikle about lambda sensors that i can use. I found it on a buel site. It says: The sensors output is usualy between 0 and 1.1 volts. A rich mixture leave very little free oxygen and the reaction will send out a voltage greater than 0.45 volts. If the engine is running lean, all fuel is burned, and the extra oxygen leaves the cylinder and flows in to the exhaust. In this case, the sensor voltage goes lower than 0.45 volts. Usually the output range seen is 0.2 to 0.7 volts. the mid point is about 0.45 volts.
