E4OD problems

I have a E4OD in a 93 f-150.The other day it started slipping in drive and over drive when I turn the blinker to the left.It does not do it any other time, even if I turn the blinker to the right. The truck has 24900 miles on it,and the fluid has never been changed,so I guess it is about time for a transmission rebuild.Has anyone else had that problem?

I have to ask, is that really only 24,900 or 249,000 instead? If it's the former, you may have some weird electrical problem, but E4ODs, unless abused, will usually last for a lot more than that. If it's the latter, you should probably prepare for a rebuild. Though it may still make sense to figure out the relationship between the left turn blinker and slipping.

It seems likely to me that you have a burned out bulb on the right stop light. When you signal left the PCM thinks you have stepped on the brake and unlocks the torque converter as designed. That will raise the rpm's on the tach by 300-500 rpm's and seem like its slipping.
