Rear Diff Question

I realize that this is a general Super Duty question but, my rear diff has a leak/weeping at the drive shaft yoke. It runs down the bottom of the rear but does not drip. How hard a fix is it?

I would say that you have a pinion seal leak. To fix it, perhaps you could take the yoke off and try a new seal. But if the pinion is scored.......

I would think that it is quite unlikely but I would jack it up when I am taking it off and turn the wheels till the pinion made a full rotation and then I could see scoring. What would score it? Could be the last person to assemble it.
