Ring Gears?
Hi all, have a question about gearing. I currently have a f250sdcrewcab4x, with 35's and a 4" lift. I love this truck, power is very good, but not good enough. I have heard putting 4.10's in would help alot, and of course a tuner. I would like to stay away from the tuner for warranty reasons. (for now) Any help on this matter would be greatful.

I have an 03 with a 6" lift and 35" tires. Other mods include airaide intake, Banks exhaust (turbo back), and a SCMT and Predator tuner (I do use both--not stacked), new tranny pan, and yes--NEW GEARING--4.56's. Previous gearing were 3.73's and i felt the truck did not run as it should when towing. I would lug rpm's excessively on long,consistant grades. This new gearing is what the doctor ordered--on freeway, unloaded I'm running 65 mph at 2500 rpm. This new gearing is equivalent to 4:10 gearing on a stock truck. Gearing will make a difference for you--Good Luck!
