Bed - replace or repair?

I'm just starting the restoration of a 69 F100 Ranger fleetside long bed, and I'm debating whether to try to salvage the original bed or look for a new one. Someone has previously replaced the right taillight panel (the corner of the bed where the taillights mount) and used the sheet metal from a later model, so it doesn't line up right. On top of that, there's a lot of bondo holding it in place. I either need to rip it out and find a new corner from a 69 bed, or replace the whole bed. The rest of the bed is pretty beat up, but has no other major problems (looks like some bondo under a repaint in a few places, though).

I haven't been able to find an aftermarket source for this particular body piece, which may mean tearing apart a junkyard bed. If I have to go to that trouble, I'm thinking that perhaps I should just look for an entire solid bed.

Any advice? And where should I look for either the corner panel or a whole bed?

Thanks,

Karl

Karl, It might be easier to find another bed. Take your time and you will find one.
