Equus CanOBD-2 code reader
I bought it for my 2000 Chevy 1/2 ton gasser when it was throwing a misfire code. It only seemed to get the general code, but will not give specific data, at least it didn't for me. I had to take it in to the dealer, and they could track which cylinder was specifcally misfiring, and also read some other symtoms that the handheld equus model could not, turned out it was two weak valve springs. Don't get me wrong, it's handy to point you in the right direction, but your money would be better spent elsewhere.
If you have a PC close to your shop, or in it, or even better a laptop, check out www.obd-2.com. I hear it's quite good, and am planning on ordering it myself soon. It's about the same money as the equus one, and will diagnose the ford enhanced diesel specific codes.
