!!Help!!

I'm pretty sure I have a full-floating (whatever that means, good I think) Dana 60, but the left side differential id plate has this info to offer:
3.07 D8TA AFA 603899-1

What's all this mean 3.07 gear ratio (good for ??)?

Door Plate:

w.b. 155 color 6 type gvw x259 body ATM trans K axle 221

Body plate has tow capacity (8100) at bottom a *F0216 TO 818

I've asked some of these questions in round-about way but truck and notebook is way away. Thanks in advance

color 6 =Bright Yellow

type gvw x259 = F250 4x2 supercab

body ATM = A = vinyl bench seat
T = Trim colour code(couldn't find a T)
M = Super cab code ( styleside p/u )

trans K = * no listing for K

axle 221 = 22 = Dana 61 {3.07:1 axle)
1 is actually an I =Adjustable steering column and P/steering

Thanks a mil1ion! Chalk up another fire put out! I've been all over this site and some recommended links without success so I'm grateful for the response. Can you shed some light on the ratio 3.07 and what's it means in terms of towing and highway use (sure I've got a c6)?

3.07 would be considered a highway gear and will give good gas mileage, but not alot of heavy pulling power without downshifting the tranny. If you are planning to drive it around unloaded most of the time, this would be a good gear ratio. If you where planning to pull a heavy trailer alot in a hilly area, you might be disappointed. It would probably do alright in a flat area though.

If you have a full floating axle rear, it will have that metal cylinder thing sticking way out of the rear wheel with little bolts in it. If not a full floater, there will not be a protrusion at the back wheel.

Always get good information on this forum, thanks! Yes, I do have the thing with the bolts sticking out and so, a full floating axle.
