hard shift

i have a f250 super duty 2 wheel drive my problem is when it shifts from 1st to 2nd it bangs into gear its a real hard shift .if i take off in 2nd gear and shift it into drive it doesn't do it .any help will be greatly <NOBR>appreciated</NOBR>
