I currently have a 4spd transmission in my 86 f600 with a 370 2v motor in it. I am looking to replace it with a 5 spd. Originally in 86 there were 3 differant 5 spds. a spicer, new process, and a clark. I was wondering if any would know of any 5 spd transmission that would bolt right up to my 370. i do a lot of heavy towing with it. approx. 20 000 # so i'm looking for a solid unit

 

you could always find a junked ford b600 or b700 school bus the trans are the same also alot of them had the 370 4barl they run alot better with the 4v carb than the 2v i know where a 4v intake is close by if your interested
