You can get some cheap lights from farm supply stores that are rubber mounted that take a lot of abuse for pretty cheap, $10 or so. I like the idea of trimming the fenders, just the cost of some blades or cutting discs.

Hockey pucks are bad to use as body mounts, in the cold they have the tendency to shatter under high stresses (trust me, i played hockey for 13 years)

A pair of lights? They help you see. And/Or the whiter white, brighter brites mod. My air horn doesn't help off roading put it sure gets attention if I need help or want to show off just before I lose control. Weatherstip to seal up the cab. It gets cold sometimes. A high lift jack, comealong, and jumper cables can be bought for less than $100. I second the recovery points. You never really know which end will end pointing up.

Old army ammo cans bolted to the bed make for great storage and can have a padlock welded to them. One cheap off road light for under the hood and one for backing up. Everyone needs a cb. Fire extingishers. With a welder you can attach d rings for a towing point.
Boy I could sure use the extra 20 hp that I would get for the racing strips.

chrome paint is good for adding power.

I'm all for stripping em down and selling the good parts. Now you have $300 to spend. Rear seats, radios, AC, stock spare tires, etc.

The one I go to still has a bunch. The next ones I'm getting are 20mm cans. They are around 4x6x18inchs high. They will be great for the chains and tow straps.

Yeah, in my storage shed. I keep tripping over them. Still, I have a ton of junk stored in them.
