stumbling when cold

I have a 86 ranger 4x4 2.9L auto. Before it gets fully hot it acts like it's flooding and loses power. I have replaced many of parts -spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, PVC Valve, Idle air control, gas filter, egr valve, air filter and it stills acts the same way. Does anyone have an idea I should try. HELP!

Did you pull the malfunction codes? The problem sounds like a sensor is not telling the ECM that the engine is cold. When the engine temp is cold, or the incoming air is cold, the ECM will add a little extra fuel to help combustion. The sensors that come to mind are the ECT (engine coolant temp) and ACT (air charge temp). Fuel pressure could be a little low, thus squirting a little less fuel than the ECM desires. Check the pressure. You could also have a buildup of deposits on the inside of the intake manifold, or the area near the throttle plate (throttle body). If so, clean them out, using an "oxygen sensor safe" cleaner.
My old 2.3 will do the same thing if I don't clean out the intake regularly. It has the IAC several feet away from the intake, so it doesn't seem to get dirty, just the inside of the intake.
