Please HELP!

I have a 1995 Ford F-250 with a Powerstroke deisel. When I get in it for the first time each day, it starts up fine. I make a left out of my driveway go 3 blocks down the road and it struggles and the engine dies. It takes a couple of minutes to get it restarted then a lot of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. It runs fine the rest of the day. It dies on the sane spot every day. Condensation drain on the side of the filter housing will not drain...PLEASE HELP....

Welcome to the 7.3 forum dvanord.

There's just a couple of screws holding the drain line on to the filter housing. The bowl will drain when you unhook it, and then you can clear the drain tube with compressed air.

I couldn't get the water to drain on my 95 until I removed the cap on the filter housing. Once I did that it drained just fine. Might be an alternative to what Cookie said or an additional idea. Good luck.

Haven't ever tried it, but you might try popping the drain with the key on and the fuel pump running, assuming its electric like my 2002. That would presssurize the filter housing, so have a container arranged to catch the fluid and someone watching to tell you when to shut off. Or maybe give it a 2 second shot and see what happened.
