Hey guys I need some help. My temp gauge doesn't register. Where do I start and does anyone know where to find the sending unit on my 79 f150 4x4 w/400? Thanks for your help.

take the wire off the unit, and ground it-have the ignition on. It should go to full hot. If it doesnt, check the wiring or gauge. If it does, its probably a sending unit. It is located just to the lower right side of the alternator as your facing the engine
